My garden in Autumn is full of these brightly coloured seed head lanterns, I think they are named Chinese Lanterns and the Latin name is 'Physalis'!
Bright Cadmium orange colours and green gold leaves spurred me on to do this watercolour painting and I have also added touches of darker greens and mauve ink. Lots of textures in the background which give a semi abstract interpretation of the scene.
Comes framed and ready to hang in an oak wood frame.
