This is a watercolour and ink interpretation of a city scene in Winter. The city is actually Seattle, but I feel it could be similar to lots of different places. I liked the black and white effects of the buildings with touches of intense red colour from the cars and umbrella. It is snowing for added atmosphere! I have actually used a limited palette of indigo and cadmium red mixes with black ink for the tree trunks and details, I have tried to capture the essence of the scene without over detailing.
This painting is sold unframed and will be sent rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube. There is another painting available here that matches of a similar view of the same city.
